Capler is a Dutch private equity platform based at Beursplein 5 in Amsterdam. It was founded in 2021 by Jelle Postma and Wessel Oosterman with the stated aim of opening private equity, which in the Netherlands is normally only available from around EUR 100,000 or more, to individual investors. Capler's fund started investing in 2024 and had raised about EUR 5 million from some 300 investors within its first three months, according to the company's November 2024 press release.
The product is the Capler Private Equity Fund-of-Funds, a subfund of the open-end Alpha High Performance Fund. Rather than buying companies directly, the fund invests in private equity funds run by large institutional managers. As of November 2025 it held eight underlying funds from managers including BlackRock, Partners Group, EQT, Goldman Sachs, Neuberger Berman, Schroders, CVC Capital Partners and Anders Invest, giving indirect exposure to more than 500 companies, roughly half in Europe and 40-45% in the United States. Examples named by Capler include Action, Breitling, Mollie and Vinted. Capler prefers evergreen private equity funds, which allow capital to be invested immediately and returns to be reinvested, rather than traditional closed-end funds with capital calls.

Investors can start from EUR 5,000 and add from EUR 100 per month or EUR 1,000 per one-off top-up. The fund charges a one-off entry fee of 3.95% and an annual management fee of 1.5%; the auditor estimated total ongoing costs at about 1.7% for 2024 (Capler's own breakdown adds roughly 0.09% fund costs, 0.2% administration and 0.08% bank/transaction costs to the management fee). Capler charges no performance fee. Underlying private equity funds carry their own costs. Exit costs cover actual costs up to 5%, with additional early-exit charges of 5% in years 4-5 and 3% in years 6-7; these lapse after year 7. Capler also offers the fund as a pension (lijfrente) product and for companies and children's accounts.
Liquidity is limited. There is a three-year lock-up, after which redemptions are possible quarterly, with the manager targeting a maximum of 5% of fund assets per quarter; redemptions can be suspended in extraordinary circumstances. Capler recommends a holding period of at least eight years. The fund targets an average net return of 8% to 12% per year over the long term (communications also cite 9.3% to 12%); these are scenarios, not guarantees. The fund's summary risk indicator is 6 out of 7. Net asset value is calculated monthly; class A returned +2.15% in 2024 (from June) and +3.63% year-to-date through November 2025 (cumulative +5.86%), with a unit price of EUR 112.10 on 31 July 2026.
