AXA IM Alts: Now Part of BNP Paribas Asset Management

AXA IM Alts is the alternative investments platform of AXA Investment Managers, headquartered at Tour Majunga in Paris La Défense and led by Global Head Isabelle Scemama since 2020. In July 2025 AXA IM joined BNP Paribas Group; the platform is being rebranded BNPP AM Alts and reported roughly EUR 300bn under management with 800+ investment professionals across 17 offices as of 30 September 2025. Before the merger, AXA IM Alts managed c. EUR 186bn (31 December 2024): c. EUR 81bn real estate, c. EUR 93bn private debt and alternative credit, c. EUR 12bn infrastructure and private equity.

The platform spans real estate equity and debt, infrastructure, private equity and LBO financing, impact investing, listed alternatives and a broad alternative credit business — direct lending with affiliate CAPZA, asset-backed finance, significant risk transfer and CLOs. Its ELTIF 2.0 range started with AXA Financement Entreprises in 2024, followed by a diversified evergreen private credit strategy in 2025 and the Alts Europe Private Credit Fund distributed through BNP Paribas Cardif and BNP Paribas Banque Privée in 2026.
