EQT is a purpose-driven global investment organization headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1994 with backing from Investor AB, the investment company of the Wallenberg family, EQT has grown from a Nordic buyout house into one of the worldâs largest private markets firms. As of 30 June 2026 EQT reported EUR 291 billion in total assets under management, of which EUR 155 billion are fee-generating, with approximately 1,895 full-time equivalents. EQT AB has been listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange since 2019, and the 2026 edition of the Private Equity International PEI 300 ranking states that EQT is the worldâs second largest private equity firm by capital raised.
In May 2023 EQT entered the private-wealth market with EQT Nexus â the first strategy EQT offers to individual investors, allowing them to invest in EQTâs institutional funds via a single semi-liquid Luxembourg vehicle. Since then, the evergreen platform has been expanded with EQT Nexus Infrastructure and, since late 2025, with ELTIF 2.0 vehicles such as EQT Nexus ELTIF Private Equity, which lower minimum investments for non-professional investors across the EU and EEA. As EQT reported in a July 2026 update, redemptions from the evergreen strategies remain at approximately 0.5% of NAV per quarter on average.
