Oikocredit, Ecumenical Development Cooperative Society U.A., is a Dutch cooperative and one of the world’s oldest social impact investors, founded on 4 November 1975 at the initiative of the World Council of Churches together with the Council of Churches in the Netherlands. From its Amersfoort head office and 17 offices worldwide it finances microfinance institutions, agricultural cooperatives and renewable-energy companies across the Global South, with EUR 1,061 million in total assets and EUR 918.8 million in member and investor capital as of 30 June 2026.
