Overview
Altix Alt.4 is the fourth portfolio fund from Altix Capital, the Dutch platform that opens institutional-grade private equity to private investors. The fund is currently open for subscription; Altix funds are open only at the start of their life, with several entry moments until the fund is full. Predecessor Alt.3 closed in April 2026 after more than 450 investors committed EUR 140 million, doubling Altix's assets under management to EUR 280 million.
Investment Strategy
Alt.4 builds a diversified portfolio of 10 to 12 renowned European private equity funds focused on the mid-market: established, mid-sized, non-listed European companies. Together the selected funds invest in more than 120 companies with growth potential, spreading risk across managers, sectors and countries. The fund targets a 10% expected net annual return.
Confirmed portfolio commitments
- Axcel VIII - Scandinavian/DACH mid-market buyouts; Axcel reports a gross IRR of 25%+ across its last four funds
- Investindustrial Lower Mid-Market IV - lower mid-market in Southern Europe; heavily oversubscribed, with Altix among only a handful of new investors admitted
- Gilde Healthcare Private Equity V - majority stakes in profitable lower mid-market healthcare companies in the Benelux, DACH and Nordics
Structure and Terms
Like its predecessors, Alt.4 follows the Altix model: capital is bundled from multiple investors to meet the high entry requirements of institutional private equity funds, with entry from EUR 100,000. Capital is called over several years as the underlying funds acquire companies, and returned - with returns - as those companies are sold.
Suitability
Aimed at Dutch private investors seeking diversified, long-term exposure to European mid-market private equity through a single commitment.
